Purpose: To manage communication related to product integrity – product enhancement and risk of product failure effectively and efficiently, facilitating real time engagement of and contribution from all stakeholders..
Process: Usually, a style takes 40-52 weeks from conceptualization to stores. Broadly, 1/3rd of time is consumed in developing a product, 1/3rd in taking approvals and production and balance 1/3rd in transition of ready goods to warehouse.
While logistics is managed very well, communication challenges are many for 2/3rd of the time when raw materials are approved and procured and product is approved and manufactured due to many reasons such as diversity in geographies, organisations, functions, cultures, skillsets and languages. Reason for many chaos and wastages in supply chain is due to miscommunication.
